Address list not updating
After updates to the Exchange contacts, client reported not being able to see the updated version.
We have another server in the wings waiting to be deployed, but we need to address the problem in the meantime. If it does not, then it is the generation or distribution process that is failing.
I'm wondering if anyone has anyone has any tips that could help me address this issue. Are you using web or public folder distribution for the OAB?
I created an alternative OAB, connected it to the Default GAL, made that OAB the defualt OAB, and tried to download it through Outlook.
I feel like the most likely culprit was a Windows update gone bad, so I've removed recent updates, and that didn't do anything, so now it is fully patched. How about restart Microsoft Exchange information store service, Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service and Recipient Update Service? Moreover, check the event log in Exchange server and monitor the connection between GC and Exchange.
I'm hoping someone has seen these symptoms but had a resolution outside of these troubleshooting steps.
